This book explores the Multiple Nexuses between Energy Security (ES) and Selected Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs). The study makes a compelling case that various SDGs can only be achieved in a context of ES; an ES strategy that prioritizes the development of various renewables. The volume underscores that the SDGs that are dedicated to end poverty in all its forms everywhere (1); end hunger, achieve food security & improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture(2); ensure healthy lives & promote well-being for all at all ages (3); ensure inclusive and equitable quality education & promote lifelong learning opportunities for all (4); and achieve gender equality and empower all women & girls (5) are inextricably intertwined with ES and consequently cannot be achieved in a context of energy poverty and/or crisis.
